Image selected to be shown at the VAS (Visual Arts Scotland)annual exhibition starting on Saturday the 4th of February until the 1st March 2012 at the RSA Upper Galleries, The Mound, Edinburgh. Image is from a road trip to Ireland taken on the Erriff River at the Erriff Bridge on the N59 in Co Mayo. The upper framed picture in the second image shows a digital version of the same image with the etching below.

East Coast Open

As part of a cultural exchange between Scotland and Poland, printmakers from the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Art were invited to exhibit work at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee and at the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA) 2010 Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh. A reciprocal exhibition of prints will take place at the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Art in January 2012. I submitted two prints for participation in the show and both have been accepted.

speKtrum collective

The launch of speKtrum collective is almost complete. The inaugural exhibition FIRST PRESS opens to the public on Saturday the 26th November. Venue is the Whitespace Gallery in Gayfield Square, Edinburgh and the show will run until the 15th of December. The exhibition will be donating 50% of it’s profits to Waverley Care, who support people living with HIV & Hep C in Scotland. Participating artists include Alfons Bytautas, Anne Forte, Alexander Hamilton, David Faithfull, Norman McBeath & others. SpeKtrum collective now has 15 artists and hopefully will grow over the coming years.

Exhibition open at Scampston Walled Garden, North Yorkshire. ART FROM ARCHAEOLOGY IN THE VALE OF PICKERING – Etched lines in a linear landscape. A collaboration between The Landscape Research Centre and artist Paul Musgrove. Officially opened by Prof Dominic Powlesland of the LRC. Daily until the 31st of October. Scampston Hall

Not long to go now to the Scampston Hall one-man show. Starting on 6th September 2011 the show is titled “ART FROM ARCHAEOLOGY IN THE VALE OF PICKERING” - Etched lines in a linear landscape. A collaboration of images with Dominic Powlesland and the Landscape Research Centre. For details and opening times contact the Scampston Hall office. Show runs until the end of October.

North Berwick Art Fair

Last week was the first North Berwick Art Fair, taking place in the Blackadder church. A very successful week had by many of the participating artists, with lots of pictures sold. Coinciding with the Fringe By The Sea event in North Berwick, it will definitely be back in 2012.
