Polymer Gravure or Flexographic printing processes have been used in commercial printing for some time. They come in a variety of forms - they can be obtained as an emulsion, a film or as a metal backed plate. The emulsion can be applied to any rigid substrate that is able to be put through the printing press. The film likewise can be applied to a variety of materials and the pre-formed plates are usually backed with thin steel or stainless.
