Traquair Fair 2011
During this years Traquair Fair I will be giving glass blowing demonstrations.
Standing Stones
One of the last things to come out of the original Glassworks were a series of standing stones made from glass. These are the first in a new series of similar objects which will form the core of a new sculptural group. They are at present not completed.
Vitreography Prints
The first prints from the first engraved and sand blasted plates – all went well – no broken plates!! Very vibrant colours and brilliant paper white.
New Glass
Most recent attempts at glass blowing – these three sided vase forms will have cut and polished tops when completed.

Old “Glassworks”
“Glassworks” was the name of the hot glass studio which ran from 1981 till 1990 – based first in Edinburgh City centre then at Eskmills in Musselburgh. It was a production workshop making functional ware such as wine glasses, scent bottles, vases, bowls etc. Alongside these exhibition and one-off pieces were also made.
First Glass
A series of trial glass plates made from recycled 12mm plate glass have been made. These have both engraved marks and sand-blasting on and will be inked up for trial printing. They represent the first attempts into the research and application of “VITREOGRAPHY” !
